As a Gen Z beauty writer, I completely understand the need to romanticize every part of your life (at least, the parts where you can). Our generation has turned doing any part of a beauty routine into a full-on production, whether it’s being filmed for content or not. It’s just something that we like to do. So, to me, it makes perfect sense why bathrobes are no longer boring and basic but a fun statement piece in all of our wardrobes. And if there was ever a robe to add to your collection (yes, at this point we are collecting them), it’s any one from Djerf Avenue.
Just in case you’re unfamiliar, Djerf Avenue is a Swedish brand founded by Gen Z influencer Matilda Djerf (hence the name). At first, it was wildly popular in Europe and slowly but surely made its way here into the hearts of cool-girls in the US. While they’re mostly known for their capsule-wardrobe worthy basics and pieces, it’s their adorably printed pajamas and robes that keep their fans coming back for more. Even the legendary Oprah Winfrey recognizes the brand’s impact, calling it the “Best Viral Robe” during this year’s Oprah Daily Bath Awards.

So what’s so special about these robes, you may ask? Well, for starters, they’re covered in fun and whimsical patterns that are all hand-painted. We’re leaving stark white robes for the spas and opting for something a little brighter when we get home. After the prints, each robe is made with 100 percent organic cotton and has a “silky smooth terry fabric” feel, according to the site. But what really takes it over the edge is the fit. While most robes can either be way too small and restricting or super oversized, these offer a relaxed fit with double sizing that goes up to 4X. Each robe comes with a classic shawl collar, two large front pockets, and a waist belt with loops.
Customers all over the world seem to love it, and if you’re looking to join that group, now’s your chance. The brand restocked a handful of its must-have prints over the weekend, and there are still plenty of sizes available. Below, shop a few of our favorite robes and make one (or all) yours.

Robe in Marula Bloom
The brand founder commented on the restock of this beautiful robe, calling it “The most delicious print” and adding three heart-eyed emojis. And honestly, we can see why. The Marula Bloom robe is adorned with dainty patterns of lemons, greenery, and hints of baby blue. It reminds this writer of a quaint morning on the Italian coast.

Robe in Summer Berries
This was the robe that made it on Oprah’s Bath Awards last month. As the name says, it’s covered in all the delicious berries that are at their peak in the summer, like strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, with little hints of greenery. The Summer Berries robe has been a fan favorite for quite some time, so it makes perfect sense that it’s back.

Robe in Lilac Dream
Fans were so obsessed with this print in the Go Slow pajamas that the brand decided to release it on one of their robes last month. The Lilac Dream robe is covered in a vertical print featuring mint-green and lavender stripes, with illustrations of the beautiful plant.

Robe in Lemon Cake
Last but certainly not least is the new Lemon Cake robe, released last month. The bright lemon-yellow colorway looks like it would radiate so much joy when worn. On top of the yellow base are dainty white daisy flowers, perfect for spring.
