'Dune: Part Three' First Look: 9 Character Posters Revealed, Including Robert Pattinson as Scytale
The upcoming movie Dune: Part Three doesn’t hit theaters until December 2026, but Warner Bros. is giving fans a little taste of what’s to come.
Ahead of the release of the film’s teaser trailer on Tuesday, the studio has dropped nine character posters featuring the lead cast.
Pictured are Timothee Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Zendaya as Chani, Robert Pattinson as Scytale, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, and Issach De Bankole as Farok.
The posters tease that this is going to be “The Epic Conclusion” to the Dune trilogy, directed by Denis Villeneuve. The first two movies have grossed over $1 billion at the worldwide box office, combined.
Dune: Part Three is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026 and is based on Frank Herbert’s book “Dune Messiah.” We previously reported that there were some surprising casting updates for the threequel.
“The story takes place like 12 years after where we left the characters at the end of Part Two. Their journey, their story is different this time, and that’s why I always say that while it’s the same world it’s a new film with new circumstances,” Denis told Deadline.
While there are more books in the Dune series following Dune: Messiah, Denis says the upcoming third movie “will finish the Paul Atreides arc.”
