AHEAD OF THE GAME: Yeovil Town (H)
Woking vs Yeovil Town
Enterprise National League
Tuesday 17th March
19:45 Kick-off
The Cards welcome Yeovil Town to the Laithwaite Community Stadium on Tuesday evening, as they look to continue the momentum of an impressive second-half performance which saw them put four past Brackley Town at the weekend.
Indeed, after a goalless first half at St. James’ Park, four goals in just eleven minutes saw the Cards charge to victory, with a double from Sanderson sandwiched between goals from Ward and Gbodé confirming the win.
The three points mean that Craig Ross, Jake Hyde, and Dale Gorman remain unbeaten as interim managers, with eight out of a possible twelve points secured since they took charge.
Now, attention turns to welcoming a Yeovil side who have already beaten the Cards this term, with Woking’s trip to Somerset ending in a narrow 1-0 loss back on September 13th, courtesy of a 92nd-minute Luke McCormick goal.
Opposition Watch
Last time out, the Glovers took a 17th-minute lead against Boston Town, but a leveller six minutes later, followed by a 73rd-minute winner from the hosts, saw Yeovil suffer defeat.
The result means that, away from home, Yeovil have won just two in their last ten league clashes, with the remainder seeing them register one draw and seven losses.
They also recently lost out on a place in the semi-final of the FA Trophy, with a penalty shootout defeat against National League North outfit Southport in the last eight.
Currently sitting in 19th place, Yeovil sit at the bottom of a pack which sees 10th place down to the Glovers separated by just seven points, showing the possibility of Billy Rowley’s side to climb up the table, as they take to the Laithwaite in search of the league double over the Cards.
Adding to their attacking options, the Glovers boast the recent signing of Millar Matthews-Lewis, who joins on loan from League One’s Burton Albion. Making his debut from the bench last time out, he will certainly be looking to return to the goalscoring ways which saw him impress at Hemel Hempstead before he linked up with Burton in February.
With one coming in from League One, the Glovers parted ways with another, as they recently lost the service of defender Declan Skura, after a short stint saw him become a regular, making seven appearances and even netting against Tamworth in early March.
That 2-0 victory over Tamworth marks their last league victory, as the Glovers look to bounce back from two consecutive losses on Tuesday night.
One to Watch
James Daly, a former Cardinal, joined Yeovil Town in July 2025, boasting plenty of experience since his progression through Crystal Palace’s academy. This includes a spell in the EFL with Bristol Rovers, as well as time spent with Stevenage, Harrogate Town, and Aldershot Town.
One Woking will already be familiar with, seven goals in 37 appearances during the 2022/23 season helped the Cards secure a play-off spot.
Praised by Yeovil for his work-rate and attacking threat, he will now be looking to add to his tally, which has seen him net five since the turn of the year.
