NCP car park firm on the brink of collapse with 1,000 jobs at risk
Britain’s biggest car park operator with more than 800 sites is set to fall into administration.
NCP lodged documents at the High Court in London today saying it has filed an intention to appoint an administrator, This is Money reports.
The notice – filed at 10.01am today – will come as a blow to the more than 1,000 company employees.
Reports say NCP turned over £187 million during the financial year ending 2023, which marked a 7.15 per cent drop from the previous year.

NCP has faced criticisms for incorrectly fining drivers.
The firm apologised last February when a grandfather was incorrectly asked to pay a £100 penalty charge for a 14-minute stay in Darlington, County Durham.
Signs at car park said there was free parking for 90 minutes.
In 2024, Bolton Council wrote off almost £1.5 million in debts owed by the company from during the pandemic.
The law firm representing the company, Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, declined to comment.
