William and Harry’s tense argument during ‘Fab Four’ appearance exposed by lipreader
A professional lipreader has shed light on an tense exchange between Prince William and Prince Harry during a much-publicised appearance as the ‘Fab Four’.
They provided insight into the reactions of their respective spouses, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, and how the women attempted to resolve the conflict.
In the latest episode of Channel 5’s show Lip-Reading The Royals, where experts share their thoughts on inaudible discussions between family members, Nicola Hickling claims an argument took place between the brothers in 2022, two days after Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
During a royal walkabout at Windsor Castle — which was the first time the pair had been seen in public since the death of their grandmother — the expert says they appeared to subtly bicker.

While it’s unknown what the pair were arguing about before they stepped out to meet the public, Hickling stated that Kate sternly told them both to ‘stop arguing’ as they embarked on their official duty.
William then reportedly turned to his wife and said: ‘Let’s move,’ before he was tapped on the shoulder by Harry. The lipreader claimed that the future king responded with: ‘Why are we together? This is not the end.’
Hickling then alleged that Meghan could ‘obviously feel a tension’ between the two, and she reportedly warned the brothers: ‘Not today.’
Harry then appeared to reply: ‘Not now, please. I didn’t foresee this.’
In an effort to wrap up the animosity for good, the lipreader claimed that Kate firmly told the brothers again to ‘stop arguing’ so they could continue with the formal engagement.
The new Channel 5 show has been churning out plenty of royal drama since its release earlier this year — and viewers have been lapping it up.
In an earlier episode, the experts say former Prince Andrew was seen begging Prince William for forgiveness following the funeral of the Duchess of Kent.
While standing outside Westminster Cathedral in London last September, Andrew reportedly said to his nephew: ‘I’ve learned from what I’ve done. But before I forget, I’d like to ask you if you can forgive?’
However, William maintained a stern expression and appeared to give his uncle the cold shoulder.
At the time, Andrew still had his titles — he wasn’t formally stripped of them until October. However, he was still under intense scrutiny due to his links to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The show also exposed the king and queen’s tense exchange back in 2023 during the coronation. After leaving the ceremony in a gilded carriage, Charles didn’t appear to be in the best of moods and was scolded by Queen Camilla for swearing.
In the episode, Hockling revealed: ‘As Charles gets into the carriage, he lets out a sigh and then mutters, “f*** me”. And then very quickly Camilla responds, “Frankly, I don’t want to hear that”.’
Hey, even royalty swear sometimes, allegedly.
