Arsenal Eye Lewis Hall?
Arsenal have been linked with Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall ahead of the summer window, according to Caught Offside — but don’t hold your breath on this one. The Gunners already strengthened defensively last summer, bringing in Cristhian Mosquera and triggering the permanent buy clause on Piero Hincapie following his loan from Bayer Leverkusen. Hincapie has been their first-choice left-back and, frankly, he’s been excellent. What Would Hall Cost? Newcastle won’t let Hall go cheap. Reports suggest a fee between £65m and £70m would be required to prise the 21-year-old away from St James’ Park — a significant outlay for a position Arsenal are already well-stocked in. Hall has been outstanding this season — 39 appearances, 6 duels and 2 tackles won per league game — but his attacking output remains a work in progress. Why This Deal Makes Little Sense for Arsenal Here’s the reality: Arsenal have Hincapie, Riccardo Calafiori, and the talented Myles Lewis-Skelly all competing for that left-back slot. Lewis-Skelly, reportedly frustrated with limited minutes, could actually be the one heading for the exit door — either on loan or a money-spinning sale.
