'One Battle After Another' Wins Best Picture at Oscars 2026

One Battle After Another was the big winner at the 2026 Academy Awards!

The Paul Thomas Anderson written and directed film picked up the coveted Best Picture win at the end of the show, and was presented by Moulin Rouge‘s Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman.

Paul and Sara Murphy accepted the award, which they share with fellow producer Adam Somner, as the cast and crew of the movie also took the stage, including stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti and Benicio del Toro.

Casting director Cassandra Kulukundis and editor Andy Jurgensen also joined, after winning in their respective categories earlier in the night. Paul also won for Best Directing and Best Adapted Screenplay!

One Battle After Another as a whole was one of the most-nominated films at the Oscars this year, with 12 total nominations. Sinners was at the top with 16 nods.
