Course Details: Basic Bike Skills is a coach training course that offers coaches the opportunity to engage in hands-on, on-bike practice focused on skill instruction, analysis, and effective coaching, supported by ready-to-use lesson plans. The curriculum is simple, built around pre-designed lessons, and easily adapted to accommodate a wide range of participant skill and ability levels. The focus is on developing fundamental mountain bike skills, delivered in a controlled, off-road and off-trail environment such as a sports field or parking lot. The Basic Cycling Skills course is cross-listed with the NCCP Intro to Competition and Community Initiation coaching stream.
