This experience is enabled by the new Experian Credit Score app that is searchable in ChatGPT via “@Experian UK,” Experian said in a Friday (March 13) press release.
Powered by aggregated and anonymized Experian Credit Score data, the app can show users the average credit scores by age and postcode. It can also help consumers sign up to check their own Experian credit score, according to the release.
According to a ChatGPT page about the Experian UK app, the tool provides users with an average score, not a personal score, and using the tool will not affect one’s credit rating.
“By bringing the power of Experian’s trusted data into a leading AI platform, we’re giving people a quick and simple way to explore how their credit score compares locally and by age — making it easier for them to sign up to Experian to discover their personalized score and insights,” Edu Castro, managing director of Experian Consumer Services UK&I, said in the release.
Castro added that Experian aims to reach people anywhere they choose to engage with the company and bring its credit score to more people.

ChatGPT builder OpenAI announced in October 2025 that it enabled ChatGPT users to chat with third-party apps while in conversation with the chatbot.
The company launched this capability with a feature called Apps in ChatGPT, together with an Apps SDK for developers that enables them to build these kinds of apps.
“The magic of this new generation of apps in ChatGPT is how they blend familiar interactive elements — like maps, playlists and presentations — with new ways of interacting through conversation,” OpenAI said when announcing these offerings.
OpenAI opened a ChatGPT Apps directory in December 2025 that is a marketplace of third-party applications that run directly within the ChatGPT interface. The move allows developers to submit apps for review and publication, and users to discover and use those apps without leaving ChatGPT.
