OpenAI’s Sora AI video generator is coming to ChatGPT soon
According to reports via The Information, OpenAI’s video generator Sora may soon be available directly within ChatGPT, in the same way that image generation was previously integrated into the AI chatbot.
As of now, Sora is only available as a separate website or app. By integrating the feature into ChatGPT, the company hopes to make video generation more accessible and thus attract more users.
At the same time, video-based generative AI is obviously expensive to run. According to the report, this integration could end up leading to changes in ChatGPT’s subscription plans and pricing structure.
Sora is impressive. Not only is it more realistic with advanced movements and physics, but last October it gained the ability to “insert people” into its videos, allowing you to create your own deepfake-likes. But because of this, Sora has also faced criticism for its potential for abuse (like generating deepfakes of historical figures) as well as for AI-generated content that may contain copyrighted material.
