Virgin River's Marco Grazzini Talks Surprising Exit After Season 7
Marco Grazzini is speaking out after news was revealed that he won’t be returning for Virgin River season eight.
The 45-year-old actor has had a major role as Mike Valenzuela on the Netflix series since joining in season two in a recurring role. He was then promoted to series regular for seasons three to seven.
While he’s not set to return for season eight, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith said that there’s potential for him to come back in a later season.
Now, Marco has shared a statement addressing his surprise exit from the popular series.

“Character departures are very common in this business — especially on a long-running and beloved series like Virgin River. It’s been a wonderful opportunity to play Mike for six seasons,” he told Entertainment Weekly, adding he has “nothing but love for the cast, crew, and especially the phenomenal fans who make the show so special.”
“I’m excited for this new chapter in my career,” Marco concluded.
