Alleged €1 billion tax fraud: Italian prosecutors seek trial for Amazon over tax evasion
Prosecutors in Italy have requested a criminal trial for Amazon and four executives over alleged €1 billion tax fraud related to unpaid VAT from non-EU sellers on its Marketplace between 2019 and 2021, despite the company previously reaching a settlement with Italian tax authorities and saying it will contest the case.
