6 New Playstation Plus Games Include Something for Everyone in March
Playstation Plus subscribers are getting a great infusion of titles from multiple genres this month.
The March lineup of games being added to the PS Plus Game Catalog has something for fans of fantasy games, world-shaping adventures, first- and third-person shooters, role-playing dungeon crawlers with RPG elements, side-scrolling action games and even sports.
Updates to Lord of the Rings and the Madden NFL franchise are part of the action, and premium subscribers can scratch their itch for a classic arcade fighting game -- all beginning March 17.
Are you ready for some football?
Just in time for free agency and the NFL Draft, EA Sports Madden NFL 26 is coming to the Playstation Plus Game Catalog.
Why read about all the offseason moves when you can execute them yourself and turn your favorite team into a Super Bowl contender?
If you did not already buy the latest edition of Madden for PS5 and were debating trying your own hand as a team-builder as NFL free agency dominates sports headlines, now you’re in luck. You can do so without putting down any extra cash (if you already subscribe to PS Plus, of course).
The latest version features Saquon Barkley on the cover and includes a new AI-powered machine learning system, new player-specific traits and authentic play styles.
But that’s not all
Speaking of building something, Astroneer offers users the chance to literally change the world — or at least one of seven worlds in the game.
A sandbox adventure game, Astroneer places the character on an unknown planet with the ability to terraform the land to make it useful in all sorts of ways. This is also a game that is good for group play.
For a more familiar title, try Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. In this adventure game, players take over a company of dwarves and get to explore the mines of their homeland. This is another game in which players can join forces while exploring a vast world.

Blasphemous 2 is available for PS4 or PS5 and takes players through an endless life cycle of death and resurrection in a side-scrolling adventure.
If role-playing games are more your style, Persona 5 Royal lets you guide a Tokyo teenager through both high school and dungeons while Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a shooter that includes gory, fast-paced third-person action with hundreds of enemies on the screen at once. It includes both ranged combat and hack-and-slash action.
For a first-person shooter, Metal Eden puts you in control of an android battling mechanized enemies in cybernetic warfare.
One more special option
While all of the above games are available in the first subscription tier, those who pay for the Premium edition of PS Pus can also get their hands on Tekken Dark Resurrection for both the PS5 and PS4.
It includes new characters and four different battle modes with character customization fans know and love.
What is Playstation Plus?
Playstation Plus is a 3-tiered subscription service from Sony.
Players on the “Essential” play get monthly game downloads, exclusive discounts, cloud storage, the ability to play against others online and other exclusive content.
Subscribers on the “Extra” tier get all that plus access to the Game Catalog and Ubisoft+ Classics.
People who go all the way up to the “Premium” tier get the above benefits plus access to the Classics Catalog, game trials and cloud streaming.
While the game catalog consists of games that can be accessed any time, Sony also offers a handful of different games available for a limited time each month.
For March, those games include PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise and more.
