Wherever the wind takes us!

Dear Cruisers,

As you can see from the following schedule the cruising group has an extensive plan for this upcoming year. It does help us with the planning if we have some indication of the level of interest and destination preferences.

At present, we are focusing on the June bank holiday weekend cruise, “wherever the wind takes us”. You may remember last year we tried to sail to the Isle of Man, but ultimately, we had great support (and great fun) at the alternative destinations. This year we have decided not “to tempt fate!”, so instead will decide much closer to the time a likely destination, taking into account the forecasted wind and weather conditions and preference of members.

• 2 to 4 May – Greystones – €10 per person – May Bank Holiday Weekend
• 30 May to 1 June – Three days/two nights. Wherever the wind takes us – June Bank Holiday Weekend
• 20 & 21 June – Start of Round Ireland – Wicklow
• TBC – Howth & Lambay Island
• 1 August – Bray Airshow
• 5 September – Three bridges with the CAI
• October – dates TBC – AGM followed by BBQ Social in JB Room
• Sailing Suppers – November/December – dates TBC
• Atlantic Circle Supper – Brian Bourke & Sinéad Ryan
• Clipper Sailing Supper  – Brian Uniacke & Damien Payne

 

2027

• 23 to 31 January – Dusseldorf Boot Show – If there is interest we will arrange a three day group trip to the Dusseldorf Boot Show which will include flights, transfer, accommodation, tickets to both the boat show & Classic Remise Düsseldorf and a evening meal.
