Candice Bergen Defends Daughter Chloe Malle After She's Named New Vogue's Head of Editorial Content
Candice Bergen is one proud mom.
Back in September 2025, it was announced that the 79-year-old Emmy-winning actress’ daughter Chloe Malle would be taking over as the new US Head of Editorial Content at Vogue, after Anna Wintour decided to step down from the role.
In a new interview, Candice defended Chloe, 39, against some criticism, saying that the new role is “no small thing.”

The Murphy Brown actress went on to say that she’s “so impressed” with Chloe, while also sharing some rare comments about her daughter’s private life.
“I think she’s wonderful with her kids,” Candice added, “and she’s very lucky because she chose a great husband [Graham Albert], who is a fantastic father.”
Though Anna, 76, is ending her 37-year run as Editor-in-Chief, she is staying as on Condé Nast’s global chief content officer and Vogue’s global editorial director.
