A viral street interview is making the rounds online after a liberal activist abruptly ended an interview when confronted with uncomfortable facts about the Iranian regime and the selective outrage of Western left-wing activists.

Younes Sadaghiani, a prominent political analyst born under the oppressive boot of the Islamic Republic of Iran, teamed up with Street Smart on YouTube to ask a simple yet devastating question to the students of King’s College London: Why are “social justice warriors” so obsessed with Palestine while remaining dead silent about the thousands of Iranians being slaughtered by their own government?

Sadaghiani, who immigrated to the UK as a boy, doesn’t play the victim. Instead, he uses logic to dismantle the “oppressed vs. oppressor” fantasy that the left uses to justify their hatred of Israel.

During the exchange, Sadaghiani pointed out the glaring hypocrisy of the left’s campus “protest” culture. The question immediately appeared to rattle the interviewee.

So why do you think people were so loud on Palestine, but so silent on Iran?

Woke Liberal Woman:
A lot of factors… Can I think for a second before I load my response?

Younes Sadaghiani:
Sure. But let me just give you some stats. More people died in Iran because of the Islamic Republic that kills and oppresses its own people. So this basically ticks all the left-wing narrative boxes. You have a group of oppressed people rising up against a tyrant, getting killed by that tyrant, shot in the head for protesting, which is their democratic right.

You don’t have a single campus shutdown. You don’t have a single protest. You have protests by Iranians, but not by foreigners. Yet you had protests nonstop for the last two years about Palestine, which I think started the war by attacking Israel on the seventh of October.

Israel responded, and they basically won the war. But then you had protests for two years condemning Israel, calling it genocide and an apartheid state, even though Israel could have committed genocide in one hour if they wanted to. The reason the war took two years is because they didn’t want to commit genocide.

But then you have the Islamic Republic that is actually causing a genocide, killing their own people, and people are not saying anything. Why do you think that is?

Woke Liberal Woman:
Many reasons. However, I do disagree fundamentally about there not being… Sorry. Can you just repeat what you were saying? I disagree with you about the origins of October 7th and that it was—

Younes Sadaghiani:
Yeah. Look, the thing is Hamas was given $20 billion back in 2005. They could have built skyscrapers. They could have made Gaza the next Dubai if they wanted to, because they got support from the international community.

They dragged every single Jew out of Gaza back in 2005. But then guess what happened? When Hamas took over, they killed all the opposition, threw them off buildings, and destroyed all the glasshouses that the Jews had built that provided food for them.

Then they used the $20 billion to build tunnels. Then the leaders of Hamas went and lived in five-star hotels in Qatar, while their sons were on private jets with half-naked women, while Palestinians—the people who live in Gaza—were starving.

Then people scream genocide. They caused October 7th. They attacked, and they tried to commit genocide against the Jews on October 7th.

Woke Liberal Woman:
I’m going to cut here. I can’t have a good-faith debate about this. I’m sorry.

Younes Sadaghiani:
Why?

Woke Liberal Woman:
Because I just… fundamentally disagree about the causes of October 7th.

Younes Sadaghiani:
But it’s true.
