Two arson suspects remanded in custody

Two people were remanded in custody on Wednesday in connection with arson in Anoyira, Limassol, resulting in a fire that burned about 600 square metres of wild vegetation on March 8.
The Limassol district court issued five-day remand orders against the suspects – a man aged 48 and a woman aged 51 – to facilitate police investigations.
The suspects were arrested on Tuesday.
The fire had started just after 1.30pm on March 8 and had been put out by the fire brigade.
Police and fire brigade investigations determined three points of ignition, set intentionally.
Police investigations are ongoing.
