Nanaimo Clippers Forward Tanner Bruender Commits to Maryville University Division I Program
The Nanaimo Clippers are proud to announce that 2005-born forward Tanner Bruender has committed to Maryville University to continue his academic and athletic career playing NCAA Division I hockey.
Bruender has been an important part of the Clippers lineup, bringing skill and competitiveness every night. His ability to make plays in tight spaces, pressure opponents, and contribute on both the powerplay and penalty kill makes him a dependable presence in all situations.
“Tanner competes hard and plays the game the right way,” said Clippers Head Coach and GM Colin Birkas. “He’s the type of player who pushes the tempo, creates offense through effort, and makes the players around him better. We’re proud of the work he’s put in to earn this opportunity.”
Bruender’s commitment continues a strong pipeline from the Nanaimo Clippers to the NCAA and highlights the organization’s focus on long-term player development and advancement.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to play Division 1 hockey. “I could not have accomplished this without the support of my family and friends,” Bruender said. “I would also like to thank the Nanaimo Clippers coaching staff; playing for this team, in this city, has been an incredible experience to end my junior hockey career.”
The Clippers organization congratulates Tanner on this outstanding achievement!
