PREVIEW: Barry Town (H)
Mike Wilde’s Colwyn Bay side return to action following a week off as they welcome Barry Town to North Wales this weekend.
The encounter promises to be a huge six-pointer as we welcome Barry Town United to the Blue Turtle Arena
once again this weekend, kicking off 2:30 on Saturday.
The Linnets recently clinched their first major title in a decade, winning the Nathaniel MG Trophy as
they edged out TNS in a 2-0 win before following that up with a 1-0 win in the league against
Penybont.
Their last defeat came at the hands of the Bay, who recorded a 1-0 win away at Jenner Park
thanks to a second-half Nathan Peate header, our first victory of Phase 2.
Last Time Out
At home, however, it wasn’t quite the same outcome, a 4-1 loss back in November has been the
heaviest defeat the Seagulls have suffered this season as we look to change our fortunes
when hosting the South side again this Saturday.
One To Watch
One of the division’s brightest young sparks is Ieaun Owen, the19-year-old has taken all the
recent plaudits with his brace against TNS in the final whilst also being the difference
maker in that midweek fixture against Penybont.
He’ll be the danger man to look out for in this red-hot form.
Tickets:
Colwyn Bay currently sit sixth within the Championship Conference, with each game significantly changing standings within the table.
A victory on Saturday would be a huge boost to finishing in the strongest possible position, but we cant do it without your support.
