Colman Domingo Reacts to Paris Jackson's Criticism of 'Michael' Biopic: 'I Hope She Loves The Tribute We Made'
Colman Domingo is speaking out in response to some criticism of his upcoming movie Michael.
The 56-year-old two-time Oscar nominated actor will star as Jackson family patriarch Joe Jackson in the forthcoming biopic about the late Michael Jackson.
Last fall, Michael‘s daughter Paris Jackson called out the biopic and Colman‘s previous comments that Paris and her brother Prince were “very much in support of” the film.
Now, he’s reacting to what she said, and says he hopes she comes around to liking the Antoine Fuqua-directed movies.

“I hope that she eventually loves the tribute that we made about her father,” he told WSJ Magazine.
He added that his original comments were “conflated” and “taken out of context,” saying the original article was amended to “more fully” capture what was said.
Colman told the mag he did reach out to Paris through Instagram DM after, and she responded with a heart emoji.
The Michael biopic, which stars Paris‘ cousin Jaafar Jackson as her late father, is set to hit theaters and IMAX on April 24th. Watch the trailer here!
