Heeseung Leaves ENHYPEN, Will Continue as Solo Artist as Group Moves Forward With Six Members
The 24-year-old K-pop singer and boy band member is leaving the band, his agency BELIFT LAB confirmed Tuesday (March 10).
He will continue on as a solo act, and the group will continue on with six members.

“Through in-depth discussions with each of the members about the future they envision and the direction of the team, it became clear that Heeseung has his own distinct musical vision,” the company said in a statement.
“It’s difficult to relay the whole process through a short notice, but this decision comes after extensive deliberation. We understand that this news is a lot to process and may be received with mixed reactions. Nevertheless, we hope you understand that this decision was made for the future of ENHYPEN and Heeseung.”

The K-pop star also issued his own statement to the fans, known as ENGENE.
“I am well aware of your concerns and various stories. I will prepare hard to meet you again as soon as possible. The desire to come back with a better appearance is more sincere than anyone else. As it was an engine that always gave me constant love and affection for me, I feel sorry for knowing the feelings of surprise and concern. I think that’s how much you care about me and care about me. I will be the one who runs with what ENGENE have given us so far in mind,” he wrote.
He first debuted as a member of ENHYPEN in 2020 following survival program I-LAND. It’s the group’s first member switch-up since their debut.
