Pedro Porro has offered his early thoughts on life under Igor Tudor as Tottenham Hotspur prepare for a crucial Champions League test.

Tottenham Hotspur will have been hoping for a significant managerial bounce when they appointed Igor Tudor as interim boss following Thomas Frank’s sacking.

However, thus far that has not been the case, with Spurs still yet to win under the Croatian, who suffered defeats in his opening three games in the Premier League.

Attention now briefly turns to the Champions League – a different competition, one where Tottenham have been in fine form, and Tudor will be hoping to get his first taste of victory as Spurs boss.

Pedro Porro backs Igor Tudor amid Spurs pressure

It has been just a few weeks since the Croatian took charge, but there are already whispers about him being sacked following his poor run, with several ex-Spurs players piling pressure on Tudor.

Tottenham full-back Pedro Porro has now opened up on the new manager and the early stages of his tenure in north London.

Speaking about Tudor’s arrival and the adjustment period required for both players and manager, Porro stressed that the squad believe the Croatian can help guide the team in the right direction.

He told football.london: “Since I found out he was coming to the club I knew he was going to be a manager that would help us a lot and all of the players know we want to be on the right path with him.

“He’s only been here for three weeks and he needs to know us and we need to know him and get on the right path.”

Spurs pressure grows as Igor Tudor searches for first Tottenham win

Ordinarily, calls for patience with a new manager who has never managed in the Premier League are not unreasonable.

However, Tottenham find themselves in a dire situation in which they cannot afford to allow much time for adaptation, and Tudor will have been well aware of this before taking the reins at Spurs.

There is a clear need for results and, above all, wins on the board – like yesterday. There is no denying that if he fails to deliver that, he may well find himself dismissed.
