TikTok Influencer Sydney Towle Shares Emotional Update About Stage 4 Cancer Battle
Sydney Towle is giving her followers an honest update.
The 26-year-old TikTok influencer shared a video after she received her latest CT scans.
As she read the results, Sydney revealed that “everything has increased in size” and began crying.

“All the tumors in my liver have grown. Some of the lymph nodes have grown. It also says that my spleen is increased in size, and I now have ascites,” she continued.

Ascites is a buildup of fluid in the abdomen, per Cleveland Clinic.
“It’s not typically not a good sign,” she noted. Last year, she got a hepatic pump to deliver chemotherapy to the liver directly.
“I thought the pump was gonna do her a big one. I’m not really sure what to do. Definitely not the news I was hoping for, but I had a feeling.”

“Despite how hard the news is in the moment, I am still very hopeful given how many options continue to become available for those of us facing this and similar diseases,” she said in a statement to People.

“Let’s go beat cancer’s a–,” she declared on a “Get Ready With Me” video posted on Monday (March 9).
“I’m going to meet with my oncologist and talk about the results for the first time…it will be a very long week because we have chemo today, and then I’m traveling on Wednesday to go to the NH on Thursday, and then back up to New York. Been struggling a lot at this point because, one, I’ve just been not feeling great, and I don’t know if that’s just in my head. Now I’m very much getting to the point, and I’ve talked about this a lot. I have worked since I was diagnosed. I’ve never taken any medical leave, despite it being available,” she continued.
“And I am getting to the point where I’m like, am I just going to work until I’m in a hospital bed? And that’s not what I want for myself. I wanna live my life, and I don’t want to. And I feel like I keep waiting for something to happen like that next thing to force me to make that decision, because I am extremely stressed out all the time, and I think that’s also probably not good for my physical health…so I am really just contemplating what I Want to do next.”
“When you’ve been stage four, and stage four can be chronic, and it’s just like, at what point do you just take the leap, I guess, and go and live your life? Because nobody else can make that decision for you. And just not knowing what’s gonna come along next or what treatment’s gonna come along next. But I don’t want to spend my life waiting, and I don’t want to be living with regrets. That’s where I’m at right now. There’s just a lot of decisions, and I feel very stressed about it. Feels like a lot to be considering and to decide on right now. But at some point, you do have to make a decision. So happy Monday.”
The influencer was diagnosed with a rare bile duct cancer nearly three years ago.
