Mingus Reedus Domestic Assault Court Case Dismissed, Lawyer Issues Statement
Mingus Reedus‘ court case is being dismissed.
The 26-year-old model, who is the son of Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen, was arrested for domestic assault last summer in New York City.
Mingus had been charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and third-degree assault. Then he was hit with three additional charges, including recklessly causing physical injury, aggravated harassment and harassment. He pled not guilty to all five charges.
Less than a year later, the court is now dismissing the case.
Priya Chaudhry, attorney for Mingus, issued a statement to Just Jared.

“I was fully prepared to dismantle the prosecution’s case and show a jury exactly what happened here. We had the evidence, we had the facts, we had the proof. Perhaps the District Attorney recognized that because less than a week before trial, they made the offer to dismiss,” the lawyer said.
“Mingus is a smart, gentle, talented young man, and he is grateful for the countless friends and family who unwaveringly stood by him throughout this ordeal. He looks forward to putting this nightmare behind him, turning this Kafkaesque experience into something positive through his music, and sharing his incredible talent with the world.”
He was seen out packing on the PDA with a mystery woman back in September in NYC.
