‘Gigabytes of data’: Election-integrity investigations now include FBI’s secret seizure of Arizona evidence
Long have there been suspicions that election integrity in America isn’t what it should be. That came to a head in 2020 during the presidential race when Joe Biden was named the winner in multiple swing states where there was evidence of integrity failures.
President Donald Trump famously refused to say the results were accurate, and while he peaceably turned over the authority of the White House to Democrats, he also returned four years later to win another election and reclaim it.
The investigations into those circumstances have been going on ever since, and now they’re being expanded with the FBI’s secret seizure of election records from Arizona’s largest county, where some of that misbehavior was alleged.
A report at Just the News explains the records were taken using a grand jury subpoena.
The report said multiple sources confirmed the seizure of the records.
“The sources, who spoke only on condition of anonymity because of the secrecy of the grand jury probe, said FBI agents are receiving gigabytes of electronic election data from Maricopa County, about a month after the bureau first disclosed an investigation into election irregularities by raiding a warehouse near Atlanta and seizing ballots from the 2020 election conducted in Fulton County, Georgia’s largest metropolis.”
The 2020 election, among other things, was the target of undue influences from the $400 million plus that Mark Zuckerberg handed out to local elections officials who often used it to recruit voters in Democrat districts. Another was the FBI’s decision to interfere by describing scandalous information about the Biden family as Russian disinformation when officials knew it was not.
The report said the subpoena for Maricopa details comes five years after the state Senate there conducted an investigation found “significant irregularities” in the voting.
The FBI also was pushed to act by a report from both Republican and Democrat election observers who found irregularities in the 2024 vote as well. There, a warehouse was found to contain both blank and used absentee ballots.
House Administration Committee chief Bryan Steil told the “Just the News, No Noise” television show the reports on the 2024 events were being reviewed.
“We have reports documenting instances that occurred in Arizona and across the country, and we are reviewing those in real time and working hand in glove with federal partners to make sure that the law was followed in every jurisdiction in the country,” he said.
The report said its sources confirmed other searches and subpoenas for other states also are expected.
“The bureau has been coy about the full extent of its probe, but the unsealed affidavit from its raid of Fulton County’s election center made clear the bureau is looking at possible violation of federal laws that require election administrators to follow state laws when sending out and counting ballots,” the report said.
The election integrity issue nationwide could be addressed in a comprehensive fashion if the Senate would adopt the House-approved SAVE America Act to mandate Voter ID and other comprehensive measures that Trump has promoted.
