Moufflon enclosures temporarily shut

Moufflon enclosures that protect and conserve the wildlife will remain closed to the public in Platania and Stavros tis Psokas for precautionary reasons, the forestry department said on Monday.

The measure aims to safeguard animal health and limit the spread of foot-and-mouth disease.

The department said following such preventive measures helps protect animals and preserve Cyprus’ biodiversity.
