In a significant move for social welfare, Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed a staggering Rs 3,600 crore bank transfer for the Orunodoi scheme, benefitting nearly 40 lakh individuals. On Tuesday, each recipient is set to receive Rs 9,000, which includes support for four months alongside a special grant for Bohag Bihu.
