'Scream 7' Falls 74% in Second Weekend, But Still Nears $150 Million Worldwide

The Paramount slasher sequel earned around $17.3 million from 3,540 theaters across North America over the weekend, and has brought in about $93.3 million domestically, with a worldwide haul of $149.4 million, per Variety.
Despite mixed reviews, the movie continues to draw audiences and could become one of the highest-grossing entries in the franchise. The original Scream and Scream 2 earned $173 and $172 million worldwide, respectively.
The film stars Neve Campbell, Isabel May, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, David Arquette, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Mark Consuelos, Tim Simons with Matthew Lillard with Joel McHale and Courteney Cox.
Here’s a synopsis: “When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target.
