Christina Applegate Reveals Which A-Lister She Was ‘In Love’ With for ‘Years’ in New Memoir

Christina Applegate had a major crush on this 90s heartthrob and she’s now telling the tale!
In her new memoir called You With the Sad Eyes, she revealed that when she was 15, she was “madly in love” with Johnny Depp. They first met when she guest-starred on his show 21 Jump Street and immediately ensconced herself into his friend group, visiting him on set in Vancouver.

“One thing is very clear from the journals: I was in love with Johnny Depp for years,” she said. “He was eight years older than me. He always behaved impeccably toward me, even though I was clearly mad about him. It seems that back then I was just one of the guys to him, yet my journals are filled with complicated and ever-changing feelings. I swing from swoon to a cold bucket of water on the face in the span of less than two months.”
She even said in her journals: “I can’t sit here and wish he was something that he’s not. I can’t change him. But yet I wish I could get through to him.”
Now, the Dead to Me alum and Depp never dated, but what’s so cosmic is that she ended up dating actor Richard Grieco, who replaced Depp in 21 Jump Street. They only dated for a brief period of time in the late 1980s.
Before her marriage to Martyn LeNoble, with whom she’s been together since 2008, she was married to Johnathon Schaech from 2001 to 2007 and dated stars like Grieco, Brad Pitt, and Lee Grivas, who passed away at 26 after the pair split a few months prior.
