Jamie O’Hara tells Tottenham to take drastic action as relegation looms large

Jamie O’Hara has told Tottenham Hotspur to do something controversial in a desperate bid to arrest the team’s slide down to the bottom three.

Tottenham’s decision to appoint Igor Tudor as interim coach raised some eyebrows, with many pundits pointing to Tudor’s lack of experience in the Premier League.

The Croat is used to taking charge of clubs in trouble and turning their season around. In fact, Johan Lange stated that Tudor’s experience of making an immediate impact at clubs is why he is a good fit for Spurs.

However, the 47-year-old’s arrival has not had the kind of impact the North London club’s officials would have hoped for, and one former Spurs midfielder has called for drastic action.

Jamie O’Hara urges Tottenham to sack Igor Tudor

O’Hara has already seen enough to be convinced that Tudor is not the guy to turn things around and get the club to safety.

The pundit called for the former Juventus boss’ sacking, less than three weeks after his arrival at Spurs, warning his former employers that they could be on their way down if they do make a big move.

O’Hara told Sky Sports: “I’d sack the manager. International break coming up, you’ve got a guy to come in and do a job. He needed to get quick results, he’s done that in the past. But if you look at the end of most of his managerial reigns, he’s terrible. Falls out with everyone and they get rid of him.

“But he’s lost three on the bounce, and the performances have got worse. His tactics are terrible. He’s miles off it, he’s shown no evidence he can get results, all he’s done is come in and moan about the problems there are at Tottenham. We know there’s problems! That’s why he’s in the job. We’ve got worse.

“From what I saw last night, we’re going down at this moment in time. West Ham are performing better than us, Nottm Forest have got fight in them. This team has got no fight whatsoever. They don’t want to be there, you can tell.”

Spurs’ stance on Tudor revealed

The Tottenham interim boss does not appear to be under immediate threat, with reports indicating that Tudor is expected to take the press conference on Monday ahead of the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.

A report in BBC Sport has also claimed that Spurs have no intention to sack a second manager in less than a month right now.

However, given how unimaginably costly relegation would be for Tottenham, one cannot rule out a drastic call in desperation if results in the Premier League do not improve immediately.
