Acclaimed young pianist in Cyprus for three concerts
Young pianist and composer Denis Stelmakh, whose cinematic neoclassical compositions have captivated hearts worldwide, is coming to Cyprus for three special evenings, in three cities.
The Soulful Neoclassicism with Denis Stelmakh concerts will present the Russian musician’s original compositions and timeless masterpieces, featuring work from his albums. First, Stelmakh will perform in front of Limassol audiences, at the Rialto Theatre on March 19, before heading to Nicosia’s Pallas Theatre on March 21. Finally, the pianist will charm Paphos music lovers on March 25, performing at the Markideio Municipal Theatre.
Stelmakh is an independent artist, with no managers, labels or corporate machines. Still, he has managed to organise concert tours across Russia, Europe and Kazakhstan, be featured on the Discovery Channel and have his music included in soundtracks for Russian and international film projects.
His journey began with his debut album New Beginning in 2014, followed by four more albums exploring new emotional landscapes. In 2021, he won the Best Neoclassical Music award from the Rodnoy Zvuk label. Critics describe his work as “melancholic and lyrical, free and pure, deep and transparent: compositions without words, full of meaning and stories about feelings, wrapped in an elegant ambient-piano sound that evokes vivid nostalgic images of long-gone times of carefree childhood and youth.” For three nights only, Stelmakh brings his musical world to Cyprus.
