Prep baseball roundup: Kramlich’s homer lifts Tam past TL
Tam High’s Cole Kramlich hit a three-run homer to highlight the Red-tailed Hawks’ 12-1 victory over Terra Linda on Friday. Kramlich’s blast came during the Hawks’ six-run fourth inning as they took a 9-1 lead.
Anthony Murphy was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Dara Zolfghari also doubled for the Hawks (3-1, 2-0). George Graham and Trey Sasso drove in two runs each for Tam.
Felix Doxon was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Trojans (2-2, 0-2).
- Walker Untermann’s two-run triple in the third inning ignited Marin Catholic’s attack during a 9-6 victory over San Marin in Kentfield on Friday. Catcher Wade Untermann was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs for the Wildcats (3-1, 1-1), who scored four runs in both the third and fourth innings. Aidan Whitmore had a pair of RBIs to help San Marin, which took a 4-0 lead in the third inning. Dylan Procopio had an RBI double for the Mustangs (1-2, 1-1).
- Redwood High senior Jake Post earned the win as the Giants beat San Rafael, 4-2, in Friday’s MCAL showdown in the Mission City. Post had seven strikeouts against three walks during six innings of two-hit ball. Senior Jack Moseley doubled and drove in two runs for the Giants (3-0-1, 2-0). Sophomore Landon Brunk had a solid game with a pair of hits, as well as eight putouts. San Rafael’s Colby Jaxon allowed just one earned run through four innings with five strikeouts. Juniors Noah Shapiro and Mikey Gianinno, and seniors Floyd Greene and Lachlan Royston each had a base hit for San Rafael (2-4, 0-2).
- Charlie Greenstone’s two-run triple got San Domenico rolling early, but the Panthers couldn’t hold the lead in a back-and-forth 10-9 road loss to Redwood Christian on Friday. The Panthers (1-3) rallied for three runs in the third inning to tie the game at six runs each, then bolted to a 9-6 lead in the fifth inning with some sharp hitting by Liam Ng and Asher Vidinsky. But the Eagles came back for four runs in the final two innings for the win.
