Multiple residential burglaries reported in Saratoga
Feb. 18
Petty theft: Between 3-7:30 a.m., someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 13000 block of Fortuna Court and stole a bottle opener and sunglasses for a total loss valued at approximately $55.
Feb. 25
Vandalism: At 4:10 a.m., someone broke a window of a vehicle parked in the 18000 block of Paseo Lado, causing damage estimated at approximately $1,000.
Reckless evading: At 4:44 a.m., deputies observed a motorist driving the wrong way on Saratoga Avenue near McFarland Avenue and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver did not yield and recklessly evaded, and the pursuit was ultimately terminated in the interest of public safety. An investigation revealed the license plate affixed to the vehicle was previously stolen from San Jose.
Residential burglary: At 3:16 p.m. in the 13000 block of Prune Blossom Drive, three suspects entered a residence in the 13000 block of Via Arriba Drive through an unlocked rear door and stole jewelry valued at approximately $25,000.
Residential burglary: Between 8:35 p.m. and 11:54 p.m., someone entered a residence in the 19000 block of Buckingham Court by breaking a rear sliding glass door. The house was searched, but nothing was reported stolen.
Feb. 27
Residential burglary: Between 6:15 a.m. and 7 p.m., someone entered a residence in the 18000 block of Baylor Avenue through a rear sliding glass door and stole approximately $2,000 in cash.
Feb. 28
Vandalism: At 3:25 p.m. in the 19000 block of Allendale Avenue, multiple juvenile suspects kicked the gate of a residence in the 14000 block of Wildwood Way, causing damage estimated at approximately $350.
