Metallica adds even more dates to blockbuster Sphere Las Vegas residency

Metallica — the biggest Bay Area music act of all time — is adding even more dates to its Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas.

In all, 16 new dates for Metallica at the Sphere were added.

The dates extend the Metallica Sphere residency — which kicks off in October — into mid-March.

“About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 back in ‘23, I thought ‘We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!’” Metallica co-founder/drummer Lars Ulrich said in the initial news release announcing the band’s Sphere residency. “This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months time, and way (expletive) psyched to go next level!”

The Metallica Sphere residency will continue the No Repeat Weekend tradition that began with the 2023 kick-off of the band’s M72 World Tour — so that means no songs will be repeated during the Thursday and Saturday shows of each weekend in the run.
