Negative data (no replies)
There’s been some debate around use of data and its impact when talking about how well or not the season has gone and whether or not change is required to get us to the next level, most of the data and statistics points to us being a good side that with some fine tuning should be doing better than we are, but what if the data points to a negative?
I personally think that data driven is helpful when comparing to other teams and they are doing at certain aspects of the game, it’s the way forward and we should stick with it and we should become better at using and understanding what is in front of us and hopefully make better decisions.
The tweet shows how infrequently we transition from defence to Attack, the actual amount of goals we score isn’t the worst either so doing it more frequently you’d think we’d score more,
We’ve obviously tried to address the ability to do this in January and we did a number on Norwich but Millwall and Boro saw it coming a mile off and easily shut us down, presumably Charlton will try to do the same, is it still a personnel issue or a coaching issue? I think an improvement in this area is important for Davies to keep his job, nobody wants to be just ahead of Sheffield Wednesday in any metric as you’re essentially the worst in the league.
