Frederick uni academic ranked among world’s top 0.05% of scholars in his field
Frederick University proudly announces that Andreas Poullikkas, Professor of Energy Systems at the School of Engineering, has been recognised as a 2025 “Highly Ranked Scholar” by the international analytics platform ScholarGPS, placing him among the top 0.05 per cent of scholars worldwide in his field.
ScholarGPS honours Highly Ranked Scholars for exceptional productivity, impact and quality of research, using advanced AI-based analysis of more than 30 million scholars, over 200 million publications and billions of citations from over 120,000 institutions worldwide.
In the 2025 rankings, Professor Poullikkas is distinguished as a Highly Ranked Scholar in the specialties of Sustainable Energy (10th worldwide), Renewable Energy (51st worldwide) and Energy (337th worldwide), reflecting his long-standing contribution to the advancement and optimisation of sustainable energy systems and energy markets.
This new international distinction confirms Professor Poullikkas’ position among the world’s leading scientists in energy-related disciplines and underlines the high level of research conducted at Frederick University in the field of energy.
