Paphos weekend event hosts Adventures in Wild Foraging
Nature is the most brilliant wonder. In times of uncertainty, especially like the ones we are currently living in, spending time outdoors can be healing and soothing. Plus, there is just so much to learn about it, and right now, Cyprus is in full bloom!
A presentation and walk in English on wild foraging and the uses of the flora found on the island is happening this Saturday in Paphos. The Episkopi Paphos Environmental Centre is eager to welcome back one of its most popular speakers, Katie Richards, to present a unique talk on everything there is to know about safe and sumptuous foraging.
Included, of course, on the agenda will be local edible and medicinal flora, as well as general guidelines for seasonal foraging in the habitats where participants may live. The event will start at 11.30am with a presentation by Richards, and a Q&A where participants can ask burning questions and solve queries.
Afterwards, Richards will lead participants on a drive down to the river valley floor for some practical application on edible spring flora. The drive is easy and suitable for all car types, and it is important to note that participants should wear good shoes for this second part of the event.
