New York Comptroller urges Big Tech to pay for data center upgrades
New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli has sent letters to Big Tech executives, urging them to pay for their own local power and infrastructure upgrades rather than passing costs down to consumers, and to enact internal policies that responsibly guide data center construction and leasing to prevent damaging local resources or public services.
