How to get to service honoring Rev. Jesse Jackson at Chicago's House of Hope
The funeral service honoring civil rights leader the Rev. Jesse Jackson begins at 10 a.m. Friday at Chicago’s House of Hope.
With thousands expected to attend, early arrival is recommended. Doors open at 9 a.m.
No road closures have been announced in relation to the service, according to the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communication.
Here are several ways to get to House of Hope, 752 E. 114th St.
Public transportation
- CTA buses No. 111A, No. 115 and No. 4 will drop off at 115th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue, about a half-mile from House of Hope.
- The Metra Electric Line’s Kensington station is also at 115th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue.
Driving
- House of Hope is accessible directly off the Bishop Ford Expressway at the 115th Street exit.
- More than 2,000 parking spots are available on site. Street parking is available throughout the neighborhood west of House of Hope.
Rideshare
- The rideshare drop-off and pickup area for House of Hope is outside the venue on East 114th Street.
