Chicago talents Kaicrewsade, Squirrel Flower and m.e.h. take center stage at Thalia Hall Free For All
Thalia Hall’s biannual “building crawl” is back this weekend with a slew of local music and vendors.
At 4 p.m. on Saturday the building opens all its doors for a free building-wide party with programming on Thalia Hall’s mainstage, in first-floor piano bar Tack Room and basement bar Punch House.
The last venue’s “Free For All” was in August 2025. This year’s spring edition is headlined by Philadelphia band Feeble Little Horse and Chicago-based indie rock artist Squirrel Flower. WBEZ is a co-presenter.
Chicago talent also taking the stage are genre-bending musician m.e.h. and rapper Kaicrewsade, whose 2025 albums were both favorites of Vocalo and WBEZ. More local music includes jazz-turned-experimental country trio Alta Vista, indie folk duo Sleeper’s Bell, piano man Kevan Eftekhari and indie solo artist Astrachan.
The party also includes bingo co-hosted by Marijuana Brothers and Vocalo’s Nudia Hernandez, plus the Muñeca Gigante Drag Show hosted by Cléo La Muñeca.
Admission is free with RSVP, but organizers are accepting on-site donations to benefit Pilsen Food Pantry.
