3 Bold Whiskeys to Sip During ‘Marshals’
The modern-day cowboy thrills of Yellowstone have returned in the new spinoff series Marshals. Luke Grimes has returned as Kayce Dutton, with a new team, and new determination to bring justice and some badass action to the frontier. But, while watching, it's not surprising if you're reaching for a nice whiskey.
Despite the action, drama and tragedy in Marshals, there's a coziness to the show, and a drink that matches the warmth and heart of the series seems appropriate. Here are three whiskey bottles we've picked out that perfectly match the vibe of Marshals.
High West Campfire

Endorsed by Luke Grimes himself, the High West brand has a saloon in Park City, near where Yellowstone was filmed. Grimes supports High West, not just because of the great taste, but because High West also is involved with a "Protect the West" campaign, which allocates funds to support natural preserves.
Of the various High West whiskeys, we think that the straight rye and scotch blend called Campfire is the best for this mood.
Pendleton 1910 Bourbon

Pendleton is the official whiskey of Professional Bull Riders association and the 1910 Bourbon was inspired by the historic Pendleton Round Up rodeo. It's smooth without being sweet, and certainly has the correct cowboy flavor for Marshals. Pendleton recommends using the bourbon in a Cowboy Gold Rush cocktail, which consists of 2 oz Pendleton, 0.75 oz Lemon Juice, 0.75 oz Honey Syrup, and Lemon Twist.
Duck Club Bourbon

This season country music star Riley Green joins the cast of Marshals. It marks his acting debut and is another impressive accolade on his ever growing resume. Green also has his own liquor brand, Duck Club Bourbon. He recently told Men's Journal that he sees a real connection between music and whiskey. "What makes a song country is to have a story. And I think the best stories are told over a glass of bourbon on a porch somewhere."
