Less than a month left to register for elections
The deadline for registering to vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections is April 2, the interior ministry said on Wednesday, urging all new voters to submit their applications well in advance.
After April 2, no new registrations or changes will be made.
The parliamentary elections will be held on May 24.
All citizens aged 18 and over who have been living in Cyprus for the past six months are eligible to vote.
Those turning 18 up till the day of the election can also register, as long as the application is submitted during the last quarterly update of the electoral roll before the elections, in this case from January 3 till April 2.
Turkish Cypriot holders of an ID issued by the Republic of Cyprus, and an address in the south, can also register.
Applications can be obtained from and handed in at local district offices and citizen centres, as well as the interior ministry website.
New voters aged 25 and over can submit their applications online at elections.gov.cy.
