David & Victoria Beckham Sent a Message to Son Brooklyn Amid Their Feud
Brooklyn Beckham has been feuding with parents David and Victoria Beckham for years, but they recently decided to extend an olive branch in a public way.
The Beckhams sent a heartfelt message to their eldest son in honor of his 27th birthday on Wednesday, and we’re wondering what this means for the future of their relationship. David posted two throwback photos of his son on his Instagram story on March 4. In the first one, a toddler-aged Brooklyn wraps his arms around his parents in a swimming pool.
“27 Today ???? Happy Birthday Bust ????,” the retired soccer player wrote over the photo. “We love you x,” he added.
In the second post, Brooklyn as a young child smiles together with his dad in a black-and-white portrait. “Happy Birthday Bust ???? Love you x,” he wrote.
Victoria wrote her own message to her son on her Instagram story. She shared the same pool photo as David did, writing, “Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much ❤️.”
She also posted a picture of her holding a toddler Brooklyn at the park. He’s smiling as his mom swings him around in the candid shot. “Happy 27th birthday Brooklyn, I love you so much❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

These sweet messages come after Brooklyn revealed the reason behind his beef with his parents on his Instagram story in January. He wrote in part, “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Among the other accusations, Brooklyn claimed that his mom “hijacked” his first dance with wife Nicola Peltz at their April 2022 wedding. He wrote that his mom “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable [and] humiliated in my entire life.” He also claimed that his parents have been “trying endlessly to ruin” his relationship with Peltz for years and tried to pressure him into signing away the rights to his name before the wedding.
“The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards,” Brooklyn added. “I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief.”
So far, Brooklyn hasn’t publicly responded to his parents’ birthday messages.
