A woman emotionally admitted that she thought her engagement ring would never be recovered after it was stolen out of her car. However, her dad’s determination proved her wrong.
Casey Corradin, an influencer based in Delaware, opened up about her ordeal and how her dad managed to save the day.

In an initial video from February 16, Corradin explained that the ring went missing the day prior when she was running errands with her family. The influencer said that she took off all of her rings in her car to put on hand sanitizer before eating a snack.
She put three rings — including her engagement ring, which has a black diamond — in the same spot in her car before driving to a local car wash where she said she’s consistently had “amazing experiences.”
The bride-to-be was “rushing to get out” and forgot to take the rings out of the car with her before letting one of the employees get in and drive it away. Once she got back in her car, she said that she realized that the ring was missing, but the other two were left behind.
“The most expensive ring with a diamond on it is not there anymore,” she said, later adding, “This is my engagement ring. It is so unique. It means so, so much to me.”
She spoke with management at the car wash and called the police, who filed a report.
“The worst part: The camera that would have shown exactly who was sitting in the driver’s seat, which is who would have taken my ring, was broken,” she said.
In the video, she admitted that she “accepted that it’s gone” and accepted full responsibility for the incident.
Corradin thought she’d never recover the ring. However, her dad was determined to get a happier ending and visited pawn shops to see if anyone had tried to offload the precious piece of jewelry.
She provided an update a few days later, revealing that her dad put together a poster with photos of the ring, which he took around to the shops.
“This is just a very dad thing to do,” she captioned the video, in which she thanked everyone for voicing support.
Concluding the video, she said she was “coming to terms” with the disappearance and added that she wasn’t optimistic about her dad having any luck.
“But who knows? Crazier things have happened, right?” she asked.
On February 23, she revealed in another video that her dad had been successful and tracked down the pawn shop to a ring in Wilmington. Delaware.
She was reunited with the ring the next day, calling it “the best day ever.”
One week and a day after the ring went missing, it was back on Corradin‘s finger thanks to her dad’s determination. But that was not the end of the story.
In a news release on Monday (February 2), the Delaware State Police confirmed that they’d made an arrest in the case, identifying Jose Gonzales-Morales, 24, as the suspect.
The release stated that police had interviewed Gonzalez-Morales at the car wash when they were unable to find the ring. However, he was apprehended after trying to pawn it.
He faces charges of felony theft of $1500 or greater and a second felony charge for providing false statements to law enforcement.
Casey and her dad, Paul Corradin, opened up about the incident in an interview with 6ABC.
“So I thought one of two things is going to happen. One, it’s going to end up on a girlfriend’s finger or two, they’re going to try to sell it,” Paul told the outlet, which also spoke to Antonio Farrace, who is the owner of Levy’s Pawn Shop, where the ring was found.
“I just noticed it was the exact ring with the description and picture that was on it,” he recalled, noting that the store has a policy about calling authorities if a piece appears to be stolen.
He continued, saying, “The person who brought it in was very helpful. He just said that he had found it in the trash.”
