The best 4K and Blu-ray releases coming out in March 2026

Each month The A.V. Club does our part to keep you up to date on the best of what’s coming out on Blu-ray and 4K UHD, which is especially important as streaming services become less and less reliable homes for films worth watching. The beginning of this month is a little bare, but that’s just to lull your pocketbook into a false sense of security—once March starts wrapping up, it becomes a bloodbath of great home video. March 2026’s Blu-ray and 4K releases include an upgraded Coen brothers film, a great late-period drama from Martin Scorsese, and a surprising amount of vampire movies. Read on and find films from Ivan Passer, Jesús Franco, and more.

Cutter’s Way 4K

Available March 23, 2026

The great John Heard is a grizzled Vietnam vet alongside Jeff Bridges in this unsung ’80s noir. A swath of archival extras are supplemented with a new featurette, an 80-page book (featuring some great critics like Christina Newland), and a new scan of the original title sequence. Radiance Films is giving this one a lot of love, and considering that Ivan Passer’s black-hearted film was one of the inspiration points for this site’s New Cult Canon, it’s about time it got some.

Hail, Caesar!4K

Available March 24, 2026

Hot on the heels of the Coens’ The Man Who Wasn’t There getting a 4K restoration, an upgrade of their Hollywood screwball Hail, Caesar! is on the way from the similarly punctuated Shout! Factory. While there aren’t any new special features on the disc, Roger Deakins’ final celluloid film is filled with classical images and killer gags for buffs of film history. From the cabal of Commies to the pronunciation shenanigans of Alden Ehrenreich, Hail, Caesar! weaves together countless threads of L.A. lore—all to be wrangled and calmed by studio fixer Josh Brolin.

Killers Of The Flower Moon 4K

Available March 24, 2026

Thank goodness Apple is letting Criterion put a Killers Of The Flower Moon disc out into the wild, where Western fans and Scorsese devotees alike can pore over the best version of the filmmaker’s deconstructive true-crime epic. A delightfully dimwitted Leonardo DiCaprio and a heartbreaking Lily Gladstone lead a cast of grim-faced character actors, and they also contribute to the new making-of documentary included on the release. There’s also a new featurette all about the making of the film’s final shot—an image that underscores a fantastic Scorsese cameo with Native power.

Dracula Legacy 4K set

Available March 30, 2026

One Universal Dracula in 4K would be cool, but all of the Universal Dracula movies in 4K? That’s fancy enough to sit alongside your good coffin up in the castle. The new set includes Dracula, Dracula’s Daughter, Son Of Dracula, House Of Frankenstein, House Of Dracula, and Abbott And Costello Meet Frankenstein. Sure, some of these are more broadly “monster” movies than “Dracula” movies, but technically there is a Dracula in each. It also seems like it includes George Melford’s Spanish-language Drácula, billed as a “Spanish version” of the original even though it’s an entirely different (and quite good) movie in its own right.

Salem’s Lot 4K

Available March 31, 2026

Maybe there’s a secretive vampire holiday happening around the end of March, or some kind of subconscious reaction to a news cycle filled with bloodsuckers, because Tobe Hooper’s two-part miniseries Salem’s Lot (and the shorter feature version) is also getting a 4K release from Arrow. Its legacy unsullied by the slick and wan 2024 take on Stephen King’s small-town nightmare, Salem’s Lot has enough time on its hands to build up its eerie atmosphere. The new discs come with a nice thick booklet, new audio commentaries, new featurettes from Mick Garris and Grady Hendrix, and more goodies.

Vampyros Lesbos 4K

Available March 31, 2026

And we’re not done with the vampiric fun! From master horror horndog Jesús Franco, Vampyros Lesbos sits atop that exploitation legend’s career, legs spread and dress draping down in a way that inspired the Criterion cover image of Anora. Severin Films’ new restoration includes an appreciation from filmmaker Sean Baker, as well as five hours of other special features. Not bad, considering the bloody, bawdy, gay-as-all-get-out dreamscape is only 89 minutes total.
