Aston Villa FPL winners and losers from Gameweek 28
Aston Villa were awful in their Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday. Sorry if that offends.
Few Villa players left Molineux with any credit and those of us unfortunate enough to own them – in a Fantasy Premier League sense, not how Wolves did – were left fundamentally dischuffed about the consequences.
Let’s check in with the official Premier League FPL game and see just how little Villa’s players contributed in Gameweek 28.
Top Aston Villa FPL scorers in GW28
Unsurprisingly, it was a dreadful week for Villa’s players, only four of whom achieved the meagre total of two points for GW28.
One of those was Morgan Rogers, the most popular Villa player and owned by a staggering 29.2% managers confident of Villa getting a win at Molineux, who climbs to 129 total points and leads the Villa ranks in that regard.
The others were Lucas Digne, Amadou Onana and Ollie Watkins, who is now one point away from being the third Villa player to crack 100 points in 2025-26.
Watkins still costs as much as £8.6m, by the way. Despite that, he was in 8.4% of teams in GW28.

AVF FPL update GW28
We have two new top-ten teams in our AVF FPL league, where Martyn Dutton is up to ninth and Mark Swingler jumps into tenth place.
Rich Ludlow goes back past Rich Brute into fourth but the top three remains unchanged. Gary James has opened up a big gap on second-placed Abdelrhman Gooda thanks to 79 points in GW28.
Congratulations to Kareem Alaa, our top scorer this week with a monstrous 104 points courtesy of accidentally triple-captained vice captain Hugo Ekitike and his colossal 45-point TC return.
We have a change at the bottom of the league, where Graeme Vincent outscored Lucy Smith to climb off the foot of the table. The gap is now eight points.
