Justin Timberlake Files a Lawsuit Connected to His June 2024 Arrest
Justin Timberlake is filing a lawsuit in connection to his June 2024 arrest on a DUI-related charge.
If you didn’t know, Justin was arrested for driving while intoxicated (aka a DWI) after a night out in Sag Harbor, New York.
At the time, Justin‘s lawyer Ed Burke, Jr. said, “The charge was a single count because he refused the breath test. Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other court citations, running a stop sign and not traveling in the correct traffic lane.”
Three months later, Justin appeared in court and pleaded guilty to an impaired driving traffic violation (DWAI), which is not a criminal offense in comparison to his original DWI charge. The judge then ordered Justin to pay a $500 fine, perform 25 hours of community service at a nonprofit and appear in a public service announcement on the dangers of drunk driving.
Now, Justin is filing a lawsuit to make sure his arrest video never gets released to the public.

Justin‘s complaint was filed on Monday (March 2) in the Suffolk County Supreme Court. His legal team says that the release of the arrest video and police body cam footage would be “an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.”
The Office of the Suffolk County District Attorney told TMZ back in 2024 that the video had been sealed and would not be released.
