Igor Tudor reveals his plan to get Tottenham out of a ‘difficult situation’
Igor Tudor was very forthright and blunt in his assessment of Tottenham’s performance at Fulham in the Premier League.
Tottenham are still searching for their first Premier League win of 2026, having now gone ten league matches without a victory.
Worryingly, the team’s performance is not showing much sign of improvement, despite the change in management. If not for the incompetence of West Ham and Nottingham Forest this season, the Lilywhites would be mired in the relegation zone.
Relegation remains a strong possibility for Tottenham as Tudor is seemingly struggling to get the best out of the players, much like his predecessors.

The Croat conceded that his side simply did not do enough to deserve any points from their trip to West London.
He urged the Spurs players to put this 2-1 loss behind them and focus on training hard over the coming days to address the shortcomings in the side.
When asked what he thought of Tottenham’s performance against Fulham, Tudor responded (via Football.London): “Not enough, not enough. They were better, they deserved to win, nothing is smart to tell you in this moment. We need to forget this game and focus on training tomorrow. Difficult moment, difficult situation, but the only way is to come tomorrow to the training and try to do better, better things.”

Ahead of the Fulham clash, Tudor had praised Joao Palhinha’s leadership qualities and his impact in the Tottenham dressing room.
However, the Croat admitted that it is difficult to judge who he can count on when so many key players are out injured.
When asked if he has realised in his first two weeks which of his players he can rely on, Tudor responded: “No, the situation was complicated because we know how many players (are out). Now the players are coming back. One thing is when you have a complete team then you can choose.
“One situation is when you cannot choose, you know, because you need to choose the quality to score the goal. You need to have quality players to score the goal otherwise you cannot defend all the time, but when you are in a bad moment, you put the players, but then you lack of defending and running and winning the duels.
“So, what to do? That’s the big question in the future to choose what is right for this team. To find a formula of what we want to be and what we can be in this moment. That’s very difficult to understand, that’s the thing.
“To understand because you have the quality, but also football is a sport of running and duels. I have a sensation that Fulham players always running and even with the brain. They arrive before us, they predict and we are always late on everything. That’s the problem.”
