Over 50 Killed in Iranian Attacks Across the Region
The Al Jazeera network has reported that attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic across the region have left at least 51 people dead so far.
According to the report, nearly 300 others have been wounded in the strikes. The figures were compiled based on data from government bodies and official organizations in affected countries.
Preliminary statistics indicate that at least 10 people were killed in Israel, 31 in Lebanon, three in the United Arab Emirates, two in Kuwait and Bahrain, two in Iraq, and three American soldiers stationed in the region.
In contrast, the Iranian Red Crescent Society stated that Israeli and US attacks on Iran have resulted in more than 550 deaths inside the country.
Explosions have been heard for a third consecutive day across Iran, Israel, and several Middle Eastern nations, though detailed casualty updates from the latest wave of strikes have yet to be released.
The Israeli Air Force said that in a joint operation with the United States, more than 1,200 munitions were dropped on 24 Iranian cities over the past day.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for attacks on 27 bases hosting US forces across the Middle East, as well as Israeli military facilities in Tel Aviv and other areas.
Iran’s strikes have reportedly affected nine regional countries, including Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. A drone also targeted the runway of a British military base in Cyprus, though most attacks were intercepted.
The escalation marks one of the most widespread regional confrontations in recent years, with multiple state and non-state actors involved. Military analysts warn that continued cross-border strikes could trigger a broader conflict engulfing much of the Middle East.
Regional governments have heightened security measures, closing airspace in some areas and placing defense systems on high alert as diplomatic efforts struggle to contain the violence.
