Who will lead Iran following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei?
The death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei sets in motion a formal succession process that could have significant implications for the country's political stability, its sanctions and already strained economy. State television reported that President Massoud Pezeshkian and two other top officials would lead Iran in the transitional period, including the head of Iran's judiciary, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei and a lawyer from the Guardian Council of the Constitution.
